Farid Masmoudi is CEO – Middle East at RedBird Capital Partners.
In his role, Farid is responsible for leading capital partnerships and fundraising initiatives in the Middle East.
Prior to joining RedBird, Farid was a Managing Director for seven years at Ardian, the $190 billion French private equity firm. He was Deputy Head of the Investor Relations for Middle East & Head for Central & Southeast Asia. Prior to that, Farid was a Development Banker, serving as Managing Director for six years at the Islamic Development Bank, the $16 billion multilateral Development Bank.
Prior to Ardian, Farid was Head of International Finance at Qatar Islamic Bank, where he led the origination and execution of QIB’s corporate finance advisory, debt and equity capital markets, risk management and investments. Prior to Ardian, Farid was Head of North Africa at Deutsche Bank, where he built out Deustche Bank’s MENA franchise. Previously, he has held investment banking positions across FM Capital, Natixis, and Montabert, where he began his career.
Philanthropically, Farid is a committed member of the Sciences Po Paris donors’ circle as well as Sharifi Scholarship donors’ circle, which supports refugee and immigrant artists. He also served as president of the ATLAS association, advocating for excellence and meritocracy. Additionally, Farid serves as a visiting professor at Université Paris-Dauphine and Kedge Business School.
Farid is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program. He also holds a Master’s degree in Middle East Politics from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon School of Management, France.
