Janet Nova is the General Counsel of the Firm.
Previously, Janet served as the Deputy General Counsel of Media and League Business Affairs for the National Football League. She and her legal team supported the League’s commercial activities, including the global licensing of telecast rights to broadcast and cable networks and streaming platforms, and operation of the NFL Network and NFL RedZone and related direct-to-consumer businesses, as well as the League’s events, sponsorship and other licensing businesses, and litigation matters.
Prior to joining the NFL in 2019, Janet was the Executive Vice President and Deputy Group General Counsel of 21st Century Fox. She had previously served as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and the Interim Group General Counsel of News Corporation. In these roles, Janet was the lead lawyer structuring and negotiating major corporate transactions, culminating in the spin-off of 21st Century Fox’s U.S. television assets to establish the new Fox Corporation and merger of its remaining businesses into The Walt Disney Company.
Janet began her legal career as a corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
Philanthropically, Janet and her husband support the UJA-Federation of New York, Israel Tennis and Education Centers and Planned Parenthood.
Janet holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and a law degree from Columbia University Law School.
