Justin Kramer is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Melrose North Capital. Over the course of his career, Justin has reinvested proceeds from major transactions into a variety of private companies as a non-executive minority investor. In 2022, he launched Melrose North Capital (MNC), a private equity firm designed to take a more active role in investments and operational partnerships. Since its inception, MNC has grown to manage a portfolio of over 30 investments across a diverse range of global businesses, leveraging Justin’s experience and strategic insights to drive long-term value and growth.
Previously, Justin was the CEO of The TEAM Companies, a leading payroll and business services provider to the entertainment industry across North America. Justin’s involvement with the business began in 2003 as the owner and CEO of Talent Payment Services (TPS), a Canadian entertainment payroll provider, after Justin partnered with a group of investors to acquire TPS in 2003. Under his leadership, TPS grew significantly and, in 2012, merged with U.S.-based Team Services to form The TEAM Companies (TEAM), establishing a leading provider across North America. Justin was appointed President & CEO of TEAM in 2017, after the company was acquired by TorQuest Partners, a Canadian private equity firm.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Justin successfully led TEAM through a rapid digital transformation, maintaining full employment while enhancing operational efficiency. These efforts were instrumental in positioning the company for its acquisition in 2021 by Cast & Crew, a leading international provider of software and business services to the entertainment industry.
Justin began his career in South Africa in sales, before relocating to Toronto in 1999, where he joined an online automotive auction startup and played a key role in driving its North American expansion.
