Kayla Tausche is a Managing Director at RedBird Capital Partners, where she focuses on the Firm’s Sports, Media, and Entertainment investments, strategic partnerships, and firm-wide growth initiatives.
Prior to joining RedBird, Kayla spent two decades as an award-winning journalist in the United States and overseas. She most recently served as a senior White House correspondent and anchor for CNN, where she covered politics and policy issues through in-depth reporting and news-making interviews. Kayla has covered the American presidency from five continents, and she was part of the CNN team that won an Emmy for breaking news coverage of the Israel-Hamas war.
Before joining CNN, Kayla spent 13 years at CNBC, during which time she covered the White House, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley and contributed to programming across the NBC News family.
Kayla began her career as a print reporter at the Financial Times Group in London, Bloomberg News in New York, and the Associated Press in Brussels.
Kayla graduated with honors in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she remains involved as a visiting professor.
